It activates the outdoor fan motor when the liquid line pressure reaches 360 10 PSIG and deactivates it when the pressure falls below 240 PSIG. The kit is specifically designed for single-stage split system air conditioners and heat pumps, ensuring that the equipment can operate efficiently in cooling mode even at temperatures as low as +20F (-7C). The kit also requires the installation of a crankcase heater and a thermal expansion valve (TXV) on the indoor coil to prevent liquid migration and compressor damage.
