In commercial ice making equipment, the harvest is the last stage of the ice production process after the water has frozen to the desired temperature and thickness. The harvest process involves the ejection of the frozen ice form into the containing bin or dispenser where it is stored for later use.
A solenoid valve is electromechanically controlled using magnetics. When current is passed to the magnet, the valve is actuated, automatically opening or closing the valve as required. Solenoids are commonly used in restaurant equipment to activate the flow of water, syrups, gas and more.
