A door is a hinged or otherwise movable panel that allows access to an enclosure, cabinet, bin, or other cavity or container. A door assembly comprises the components that work in tandem to allow the door to function properly such as the door set, strike, catch and lock set. Doors may be hinged and swing open and closed, or they may slide within a frame. Very frequently, restaurant equipment doors feature tempered glass windows which allow for visual inspection or merchandising of food and beverage products.
A spring is an elastic object that stores mechanical energy. Springs are typically made of spring steel. There are many spring designs. In everyday use, the term often refers to coil springs. Locking (lock) washers prevent fastening or loosening by preventing unscrewing rotation of the fastening device.
