Bearings are widely used in restaurant equipment. They limit motion and reduce friction between moving parts. A bearing may provide for free linear or rotational movement of the part. PTFE is also recognized by its brand name "Teflon" where it is used as a protective non-stick cooking surface embedded into the construction of pots and pans, and in replaceable indirect cooking release sheets for grills, especially those with clamshell design.
