This kit supplies a replacement thermostatic expansion valve, which meters liquid refrigerant into the evaporator in response to the temperature sensed by its capillary bulb. The valve has a brass body with a domed diaphragm housing and a hex fitting. Two brass mounting clamp brackets, screws, and clip nuts are included for installation.
