Various coils are used in restaurant equipment componentry. An electromagnetic coil is an electrical conductor such as a wire in the shape of a coil, spiral or helix. They are used in electrical engineering, in applications where electric currents interact with magnetic fields, in devices such as electric motors, generators, inductors, electromagnets, transformers, solenoid valves, and sensor coils. Either an electric current is passed through the wire of the coil to generate a magnetic field, or conversely an external time-varying magnetic field through the interior of the coil generates an EMF (voltage) in the conductor.

In refrigeration equipment, the "condenser coil" dispels hot air to the outside of the space. The refrigerant then loops back to the compressor, gets cold again, absorbs heat and disperses it to the outside. As long as the compressor is running, the refrigerant keeps up this continuous loop. Extracting heat from the storage space and transferring it to the refrigerant is the function of the "evaporator coil".

In dish washing machines, the steam coil preheats incoming water, reducing the energy needed to heat the water used in the sanitizing rinse.

Panels of all types are widely used in the design of restaurant equipment. A panel is usually part of the housing, or an access covering made of stainless steel, painted aluminum, or molded plastic and is generally water resistant and easily cleaned.  Panels may have fin type of openings (louvers) to allow air to flow across interior components.  Panels may also be "control panels" having operating buttons, displays, dials or switches.

Relays are electrical devices that are used to control circuits in restaurant equipment and other types of machinery. They work by using a small electrical current to control a larger current, allowing a low-power control circuit to switch a high-power circuit on or off.

In restaurant equipment, relays can be used to control a variety of functions, such as turning on and off motors, controlling heating elements, and activating alarms. For example, a relay might be used to turn on a refrigerator's compressor when the temperature inside the fridge reaches a certain level, or to turn off a stove's heating element when the temperature reaches a certain point. Relays are often used in restaurant equipment because they can handle large amounts of current and are able to switch circuits on and off quickly and reliably.

Marshall specializes in hamburger conveyor broilers, commercial charbroilers, toaster conveyors, countertop food warmers, food holding and ventilation systems.
