Doors are common in restaurant equipment design from refrigerators and freezers, to ovens to ice machines. A door is a hinged or otherwise movable panel that allows access to an enclosure, cabinet, bin, or other cavity or container.  A door assembly comprises the components that work in tandem to allow the door to function properly such as the door set, strike, catch and lock set. Doors may be hinged and swing open and closed, or they may slide within a frame. Very frequently, restaurant equipment doors feature tempered glass windows which allow for visual inspection or merchandising of food and beverage products.

A spring is an elastic object that stores mechanical energy. Springs are typically made of spring steel. There are many spring designs. In everyday use, the term often refers to coil springs. When a conventional spring, without stiffness variability features, is compressed or stretched from its resting position, it exerts an opposing force approximately proportional to its change in length.

Master-Bilt (sometimes spelled "Masterbilt" or "Master Built") offers a broad line of refrigerated cabinets includes ice cream dipping cabinets, open air merchandisers, refrigerators, and reach-in cases utilized in the foodservice, convenience store and restaurant industries. They also produce walk-in coolers and freezers ranging in size from 30 square feet to complete refrigerated warehouses.
