This float microswitch is an essential component in the operation of Manitowoc ice machines, including models like the RF0244 and others. It detects the water level within the ice machine's reservoir and activates or deactivates the water supply accordingly. When the water level drops below a certain point, the switch closes the circuit to allow water to fill the reservoir. Conversely, when the water level is sufficient, the switch opens the circuit to stop the water flow, maintaining the necessary water level for efficient operation.
