This part is used to prevent backflow in the drain line of Manitowoc ice machines. It replaces the entire check valve assembly, which is no longer available in current production models. The installation process involves removing the existing check valve and tee, connecting new tubing from the dump valve directly to the drain adapter, and installing a new condensate drain pan provided with the kit. This ensures proper drainage and maintains the efficiency of the ice machine.
