EXHAUST COLLECTOR FLANGE

In the foodservice industry a collector is any reservoir utilized to gather product. The collector may be for finished goods, an ingredient to be used later, or a byproduct of a preparation or cooking process.

An exhaust or exhaust system is used for venting gases from cooking equipment. The exhaust is part of a system designed to vent hot gases, steam and smoke from a stove, oven or boiler to the exterior or into a supplemental vented hood . An exhaust my be vertical or channeled, ensuring that hot gases flow smoothly by drawing air into and out of the combustion system through convection, or they may be fan forced.

A flange is an external or internal ridge, or rim (lip), for strength or for attachment to another object, as the flange on the end of a pipe, steam cylinder, etc. The term "flange" is also used for a kind of tool used to form flanges. Pipes with flanges can be assembled and disassembled easily.
