RETAINER-SPINDLE

A retainer is a mechanism that positions, as a device, frame, or groove that restrains, holds in place, or guides.  A retainer may be also be a clip, bracket, or similar component that prevents a part within a machine from moving.

Spindles are typically used in restaurant equipment to mix and blend ingredients in food and beverage preparation. These devices are essentially motorized shafts with an attached agitator, which spins at variable speeds to mix ingredients thoroughly and efficiently. Spindles may be used to blend frozen drinks, mix batters and dough, sauces, dressings, breading, seasonings, and other food items.
