VALVE PISTON SEALAlways OEM - Nothing generic, "equivalent" or off-brand.
A piston is a component of reciprocating motors, reciprocating pumps, gas compressors and pneumatic cylinders, among other similar mechanisms. It is the moving component that is contained by a cylinder and is made gas-tight by piston rings. In a pump, force is transferred for the purpose of compressing or ejecting a gas or fluid.
A mechanical seal is a device that helps join systems or mechanisms together by preventing leakage (e.g. in a pump system), containing pressure, or excluding contamination. The effectiveness of a seal is dependent on adhesion in the case of sealants and compression in the case of gaskets or o-rings.
Valves are widely used in different restaurant equipment designs. A valve is a device that regulates, directs or controls the flow of a fluid (gases, steam, liquids, fluidized solids, or slurries) by opening, closing, or partially obstructing various passageways. In an open valve, fluid flows in a direction from higher pressure to lower pressure.
Valves may be operated manually, either by a handle, lever, pedal or wheel. Valves may also be automatic, driven by changes in pressure, temperature, or flow, allowing control over a variety of operational requirements.
