A clamp is a fastening device used to hold or secure objects tightly together to prevent movement or separation through the application of inward pressure. Also called a brace, band, or clasp used for strengthening, bracing, or holding things together.
Found in all types of restaurant equipment, resistance thermometers, also called Resistance Temperature Detectors (RTDs), are sensors used to measure temperature. Many RTD elements consist of a length of fine wire wrapped around a ceramic or glass core but other constructions are also used. The RTD wire is a pure material, typically platinum, nickel, or copper. The material has an accurate resistance/temperature relationship which is used to provide an indication of temperature. As RTD elements are fragile, they are often housed in protective stainless steel housings and probes.
The Garland Group manufactures premium professional cooking appliances for the foodservice industry. Garland heritage dates back to the 1920’s, and the Detroit-Michigan Stove Company. Cooking has come a long way since then, and so has Garland. Today’s innovations are all about cost-saving efficiency, and authoritative response to the ever-changing needs of foodservice operators. Small-footprint venues and expanding menus have created a demand for inventive equipment solutions that make high-volume cooking faster, safer, and more economical.
