Always OEM - Nothing generic, "equivalent" or off-brand.Capillary action (sometimes capillarity, capillary motion, capillary effect, or wicking) is the ability of a liquid to flow in narrow spaces without the assistance of, or even in opposition to, external forces like gravity. The effect can be seen in the drawing up of liquids in a thin tube. It occurs because of intermolecular forces between the liquid and surrounding solid surfaces. If the diameter of the tube is sufficiently small, then the combination of surface tension (which is caused by cohesion within the liquid) and adhesive forces between the liquid and container wall act to propel the liquid.
The purpose of the evaporator is to extract heat from the ambient environment (a room in the case of Air Conditioning or the space inside of a refrigerator/freezer/walk-in in the case of refrigeration) allowing that space to cool to a desired temperature which is controlled by a thermostat.
A tube (tubular section, tubing, or hollow cylinder) usually but not necessarily of circular cross-section, used mainly to convey substances which can flow liquids and gases (fluids), slurries, powders and masses of small solids. Plastic tubing is widely used for its light weight, chemical resistant, non-corrosive properties, and ease of making connections. A tube may also reference a florescent light bulb or a housing of lamps or LEDs.
