An electromagnetic coil is an electrical conductor such as a wire in the shape of a coil, spiral or helix. They are used in electrical engineering, in applications where electric currents interact with magnetic fields, in devices such as electric motors, generators, inductors, electromagnets, transformers, solenoid valves, and sensor coils. Either an electric current is passed through the wire of the coil to generate a magnetic field, or conversely an external time-varying magnetic field through the interior of the coil generates an EMF (voltage) in the conductor.
In refrigeration, the "condenser coil" dispels hot air to the outside of the space. The refrigerant then loops back to the compressor, gets cold again, absorbs heat and disperses it to the outside. As long as the compressor is running, the refrigerant keeps up this continuous loop. Extracting heat from the space and transferring it to the refrigerant is the function of the "evaporator coil".
An evaporator is a device used in a process to turn the liquid form of a chemical substance such as water into its gaseous form (vapor). The liquid is evaporated, or vaporized, into a gas form of the targeted substance in that process.
One kind of evaporator is a kind of radiator coil used in a closed compressor driven circulation of a liquid coolant. That is called an air-conditioning system (A/C) or refrigeration system allowing a compressed cooling chemical, such as R-22 (Freon) or R-410A, to evaporate/vaporize from liquid to gas within the system while absorbing heat from the enclosed cooled area (for example, a refrigerator or indoor room) in the process. This works in the closed A/C or refrigeration system with a condenser radiator coil that exchanges the heat from the coolant into the ambient environment.
A tube (tubular section, tubing, or hollow cylinder) usually but not necessarily of circular cross-section, used mainly to convey substances which can flow liquids and gases (fluids), slurries, powders and masses of small solids. Plastic tubing is widely used for its light weight, chemical resistant, non-corrosive properties, and ease of making connections. A tube may also reference a florescent light bulb or a housing of lamps or LEDs.
