A hose is a flexible hollow tube designed to carry fluids from one location to another. In high-temperature commercial cooking equipment, PTFE has multiple applications. Often used in seals, gaskets, valve and fitting components, pump parts, manifold, chemical resistant tubing and bearings and bushings PTFE is rated for it's very high temperature and chemical resistance. PTFE is also recognized by its brand name "Teflon" where it is used as a protective non-stick cooking surface embedded into the construction of pots and pans, and in replaceable indirect cooking release sheets for grills, especially those with clamshell design.
