THERMOMETER TRANSFORMER

A thermometer is an instrument that measures temperature. It can measure the temperature of a solid such as food, a liquid such as water, or a gas such as air. Thermometers are primarily either electrical or mechanical, having a measuring or sensing component and a means of display or output. Thermometers of different types are used throughout the foodservice industry for the measurement and regulation of temperature in equipment used for refrigeration, cooking, frying, holding and merchandising, beverage service, and more.

In restaurant equipment, a transformer is an electrical component that is used to convert the voltage of the power source to a different level. This is necessary because different types of equipment require different levels of voltage to operate. For example, some equipment may require a higher voltage to run, while other equipment may require a lower voltage. The transformer steps up or steps down the voltage to match the requirements of the equipment. This allows the equipment to function properly and prevents damage to the equipment or electrical system. Transformers are commonly used in commercial kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, mixers, dish washers, ice machines and other units that require a specific voltage to operate.
